Complicated Discourse Round Table Debate: Election Unrest

  • 2530 Butler Street Dallas, TX, 75235 United States (map)

(Hosted every other last Tuesday of the month with varying topics)

All viewpoints are encouraged to join us in this roundtable, moderated discussion respectfully discussing the current state of the US Presidential Election. We will talk through the various levels of unrest amongst and within the political parties. Should Biden bow out of the race? What is the aftermath of the Trump assassination attempt? Are third parties going to pick up steam? Let's talk about it!

Our Cosmic Cantina will be here whipping up their fresh, authentic tacos, quesadillas, tortas and more for brain food until 8pm, and every participant and active viewer will receive a free 8oz pour!

As always, the goal is to practice open, respectful and productive conversation, all while uplifting each participant and keeping in mind the emotional and contextual implications involved with some heavier topics.

The public sphere has historically been a venue for individuals to come together and freely discuss and identify societal problems. Our current social climate has made this increasingly difficult, so the necessity for complicated discourse is more important than ever.

For those participating in this moderator-led round table discussion, we ask that you agree to follow our guidelines, such as avoiding reactionary responses and logical fallacies, in order to maintain a productive conversation.

The discourse will begin at 7pm and every participant will get a free 8oz "Mission" pour.
